Le Bastille
Paris, France
This apartment, located a few steps from Place de la Bastille, has been refurbished by highlighting the characteristic element of the volume: its ceiling made out of old wooden beams. An L-shaped piece of furniture organizes the flat by defining the entrance area, bedroom and living room. Its reduce height allows visibility of the ceiling from anywhere in the apartment while creating intimacy in the bedroom. The three consecutive windows, located on the corridor leading to the bedroom, offer light and a view over the courtyard.
