La Maison Perchée
Quebec, Canada
This vacation home is located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Charlevoix region, about 300 km away from Montreal. Clients wanted to live in a place where they could come into contact with the natural spaces and open landscapes on the river that characterize this region. The house is located at the edge of the wooded area of the site, where the presence of the cliff provides a large overview on the river landscape.

The house is composed of two simple volumes: the first, which is the heart of the building, houses all the functional components of the house, while the second is created by an "extrusion" of the first. This largely glazed section hold in the living spaces of the house, in constant contact with the majestic landscape of the St. Lawrence River.
