Chalet du Lac-Aylmer
Québec, Canada
This holiday home was designed for a young couple wishing to reconnect with nature and rediscover its multiple attractions. The major attractions of this site are certainly the lake and the variety of nature, the second of which has proven to be a challenge during the realization of this project. The diversity of the nature inspired different living and observing places designed according to the diverse needs of each season.

Therefore, the project was built in symbiosis with the natural elements dividing the house into two parts, two superimposed plans that each offer a different way of living. The open foreground, slightly raised above the ground level, offers residents direct contact and immediate proximity with nature, allowing them to experience it "from the inside". The second plan, raised directly above the foreground, houses the living spaces and also becomes a place of contemplation which overlooks the natural site.
