The thought behind this project is to contribute to the development of the urban quality of the territorial polarities linked to mobility. The transitions between different urban places of the spread out city are madedifficult by sectoral logics which dictates the forms of these territorial polarities. The result of this organization is a city made up of functional "islands" (commercial, productive, residential, leisure, etc.) which live independently from one another as well as from old fabrics of the established city.

One of these new polarities is the Magnetti site. This site has fundamental strategic value as a place of transition between the historic fabrics of Cisano Bergamasco and Pontida. Adjacent to various transport infrastructures (Briantea Road and railway line), it is influenced by the logic of territorial flows. 

The project creates a dialogue between the two speeds of the contemporary city which, at first glance, seem conflicting: the accelerated speed of territorial flows and that, slower, of "stasis" of local realities.

In this project, the new public space (both mineral and vegetal) makes it possible to create an integrated landscape. Shopping center, craft activity zone and residential neighborhood interact with each other and with the valley landscape creating "habitable" spaces at all speeds of use.
